“In almost every way we could have imagined, 2023 was a difficult year. It was a year that presented Movement and our entire industry with almost unprecedented challenges. That adversity prevented Movement from making a profit… Without profit we were not able to make a contribution to the Movement Foundation this year. But because of the profit donated from previous years, we were able to continue to build schools to positively impact the lives of kiddos in some of the toughest financial situations in America… In 2024 let’s do both so that we can continue to champion a new and purpose-driven corporate culture that is anchored in Loving and Valuing all people.”

In a relentless and grueling market, we faced challenge after challenge. The highest rates in almost 25 years. Inventory down almost 50%.
But did that stop us? No. We chose to stay and fight. To make… an impact.
And what we accomplished together was remarkable.
BILLION
We are an Impact Lender.
At Movement, mortgages mean more. Since day one, we've committed to giving back to the communities we serve. In 2023, we introduced the category of Impact Lending to define this commitment.
Any mortgage lender that commits at least 10% of its profits to helping the neighborhoods it serves is an Impact Lender.
Movement commits 40-50%.
The biggest projects funded by our profits are Movement Schools. Why schools? We believe that by providing quality education, we can help families and communities break cycles of intergenerational poverty.
Movement Schools is a network of public charter schools committed to teaching world-class academics and virtues in underserved areas.
This year, we opened our fifth school: Movement Northwest in Charlotte, N.C. Soon, more scholars will be served with additional schools in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
Love Works is our employee-funded initiative designed to support co-workers dealing with unexpected needs, emergency expenses or crisis counseling.
Vision Trips offer Movement team members the opportunity to visit marginalized communities around the world and create lasting positive change.
GraceWorks Grants empower Movement employees to nominate and present $10,000 grants to nonprofits nationwide. These grants are made possible by Karis Management Group and their KM Foundation.
Transforming mortgage technology.
We're not just keeping pace with industry standards. We're setting them.
We launched MORE: our proprietary sales and marketing platform built on Salesforce. MORE’s desktop and mobile apps integrate with Movement’s LOS, POS and marketing engine to automate our loan officers’ processes and increase their productivity.
More efficiency. More closed loans. More time back.
We introduced a tool that creates social media assets to show the potential community impact of loans, so agents and borrowers can see how their home purchases may have benefited Movement schools.
More products. More opportunities.
We reinforced our commitment to support current and future borrowers, adding more than 1,000 new products to a portfolio of over 3,300.
We created new products and programs to make home buying and selling more accessible and affordable even in a challenging market.
