"The underwriter assigned to this mortgage folder was insistent on signage of an agency internal telwork form and held up "ok to close" despite my working in the local commuting area and not having telework be a condition of employment, having evidence of grade and step with OPM publishing salaries online, and a memo from the Presidential Appointee (SES) stating my employment was solid and I could work in the new locality area. They actually suggested I might be angling to be a P/T employee. Making up wild scenarios is not helpful and contrary to the evidence of consistent on-time payments and great credit. Expecting govt bureaucracy, especially a HR specialist, to move at your pace put undue stress on myself and the overall process. All for a telework form - absolutely ridiculous. Someone in Solutions Management said they would call to discuss the underwriter/underwriter process and he never did. This was not an issue with Brandon Mears --- to be clear. This was your underwriter. Underwriting made what would have otherwise been a perfect experience and made it frustrating as hell."
