Experienced Mortgage Team Led by Brenna Carles Joins Movement
Movement Mortgage today announced that mortgage professional Brenna Carles and her team have joined the company, bringing specialized experience in financing short-term rentals, long-term rentals and vacation homes in the Smoky Mountains and other tourism-driven markets.
“Brenna and her team understand the properties, borrowers and communities that make tourism-driven markets distinct,” said Barb Courtney, Tennessee market leader at Movement Mortgage. “Their experience will strengthen the support we provide to loan officers and help Movement serve more families and real estate investors in these markets.”
Carles founded The Mortgage Shop in 2021 after building a mortgage career centered on rental-property financing and the needs of borrowers in vacation markets. Her team joins Movement with experience in the non-qualified mortgage, or Non-QM, broker channel and a shared focus on helping borrowers understand their financing options.
“Our team brings extensive experience in the Non-QM broker channel and in financing properties in tourism-driven markets,” Carles said. “We’re excited to bring that knowledge to Movement and help strengthen the support available to loan officers and their clients.”
At Movement, Carles and her team will continue serving the Smoky Mountains while supporting work in other vacation and tourism markets across the country.
