HousingWire Names Lyra Waggoner in 2026 Women of Influence List
Movement Mortgage Chief Operating Officer Lyra Waggoner has been named to HousingWire's 2026 Women of Influence list. The annual list recognizes women who have demonstrated measurable impact on their organizations and the broader mortgage industry.
As Movement's Chief Operating Officer, Waggoner oversees Technology, Operations, Marketing, and Employee Engagement. Her leadership has directly shaped the technology and workflows that Movement's loan officers rely on daily.
Lyra originated and led the full re-platforming of Movement's loan origination system into the MORE ecosystem, powered by Blue Sage and integrated with Salesforce, Polly, and Docutech. Her team funded the first loans on the new system just nine months after kickoff and completed a national rollout in 13 months, an exceptional pace for a project this size.
The rebuilt platform resulted in:
- 18% faster close rate, seven fewer days on average from application to funding
- Loans reaching investors 14% sooner, a direct cash flow win for the business
- A 4.44 out of 5 borrower rating on EasyApp
Building on that foundation, Waggoner is now directing Movement's AI Innovation efforts. Teams across Movement have a dedicated infrastructure to come together to build AI-driven initiatives from the ground up. Efforts span origination, HR, engineering, marketing and other functions, giving teams a hands-on way to shape how new technology gets used company-wide.
Lyra was also named a HousingWire Rising Star in 2023, recognized then for the same instinct she's carried forward ever since: build the infrastructure that lets everyone else move faster.
