INDIAN LAND, SC — Movement Mortgage (Movement), a national top 10 retail mortgage lender, is excited that industry veteran, Jeff Nelson, has joined Movement as a Divisional Leader. In this role, he will be responsible for mortgage production and growth in Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico. Movement Strengthens Market Presence in Four States with Jeff Nelson as New Divisional Leader

With 32 years in the finance industry, Nelson brings a vast array of experiences throughout the country, handling everything from loan origination to team building and leadership. Most recently, Nelson was SVP, East Divisional Manager, at Nations Lending and held a similar role at Guaranteed Rate before that. He spent seventeen years with Wells Fargo Home Mortgages, ending his time there as a Regional Sales Manager in North and South Carolina.

“Over my career, I have worked with some of the industry's best and most respected mortgage origination teams, responsible for helping hundreds of thousands of home buyers finance a dream of home ownership,” said Nelson. “I am very proud of that but equally excited for what's ahead. Movement is unique in the industry. I love the company's mission and can't wait to dig in.”

“Jeff has a history of making strong teams stronger and building solid industry relationships. We're thrilled he's chosen to bring that talent to Movement,” said Mike Brennan, Movement Mortgage president. “He fits right in with our approach of loving and valuing people — both customers and employees — and he's deeply committed to our focus on creating positive societal impact. We're all excited about what Jeff will build out West.”

Raised in Sacramento, California, Nelson graduated from the University of the Pacific, Eberhardt School of Business, with a B.S. in Business Administration. He and his wife Kristen, who he met in the mortgage industry back in 1997, have been married for 23 years. Their two college-aged children are out of the house, so the Nelsons and their three rescue dogs are moving back west after nearly a decade in the southeast. When not working or volunteering in his community, Nelson will try to continue to make time to run, golf, ski and wake surf.
