"The good. Todd is amazing at his job and he communicated well with us. He was there for support. He was also able to close in 3-4 weeks which our first choice Navy Federal could not. He was able to get us the cash back we wanted which is a HUGE positive. The bad. 7.625 for a par VA loan? As of writing national average VA 30 year mortgage is sub 6.5. Navy Federal last week (before we closed) was offering 6.5 for .625 in points (with automatic payment or 6.725 without). I was offered 7.25 for basically .5 points. This is a HUGE negative. We are not happy at all with the interest rate and lack of adjustment per market averages of competing lenders. Overall this is what needed to happen. Our builder put a deadline for us to receive a huge credit that we could not pass up. If we didnt have this deadline we would have gone with Navy Federal. It is unlikely that we will do our IRRRL with Movement as I feel Navy Federal provides better value for the cost."
