"We were originally going through with a refi with Mr. Cooper/Nationstar, who at the time held our lien after USAA originally closing our mortgage in 2013. Our oldest son and his wife had just completed their mortgage (purchasing of my in-laws home) with Anthony, so my wife had interacted with him during their process. Smartly, Tony offered to close our deal, assuring me that he could save us significantly, before even seeing our numbers. It was only then that I realized how much more MrCooper was charging. Switching to MM and working with Tony was much easier and pleasurable that the previous group. My ONLY issue and frustration was in dealing with the VA's termite inspection process; namely, we had previously discovered termites following the original purchase of our home, spent thousands of dollars on treatment and mitigation, and well over $25K to repair the damage. The very fact that this was a refinance with the VA of our original purchase should not have provided as much confusion and frustration as it did to accomplish the required inspection, further requiring a "warranty" of work that had been accomplished years prior and no longer required mitigation or the furtherance of a warranty. THIS is the one issue that delayed our closing for weeks, due to scheduled appointments ending up being no-shows by a company (previously used for above stated) and them NOT clearly communicating the "required" process, especially when costs go from around a hundred dollars, into the thousands. Despite all this, Tony hung in there in dealing with my anger and frustrations with the process and initial outcomes. He kept our head in the game and playing through the adversity. He was nothing short of stellar!! Christina Andrews (Processor) was prompt and understanding of the delays on our end, especially in regards to the termite inspection and not being able to complete tasks during our work hours."
