Movement’s #heartsforhouston shirt sales soar
We asked for help. Here's how Movement team members – and friends in the industry – responded.
They responded by buying a total of 3,291 #heartsforhouston T-shirts to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston, TX, raising a total of $65,820. But that isn't all…
Shirts for support
We created shirts, decorated with an outline of Texas and the words, "Texas-Sized Hearts for Houston," to sell to the public. 100 percent of the sales go to Convoy of Hope and Houston Food Bank.
The sales totaled to $65,820 going toward Hurricane Harvey relief. LendingTree caught wind of the campaign and graciously donated $10,000, bringing the total to $75,820 raised for Houston hurricane relief efforts.
Love your neighbor as yourself. This immediately comes to mind when I see corporate America rallying in such an impactful way during these tragic times," CEO, Casey Crawford says.
A helping hand
Team members also rallied to support Movement's 154 Texas employees, and more specifically, the 17 residents of Houston, through our internal Love Works program. Now, it's time to provide aid in the wake of Hurricane Irma. Team members interested in helping the victims of Hurricane Irma and Harvey are encouraged to donate to Love Works, Samaritan's Purse or Convoy of Hope. A donation to these efforts will be matched by the Movement Foundation.
None of this would be possible without our team members coming together to help those affected in Houston. Now, we can help Convoy of Hope and Houston Food Bank on their mission to provide families with essentials needed in the wake of the storm. Read more about #heartsforhouston.
