Laura Bowles named CFO of the year by Charlotte Business Journal
Bowles was selected as the winner of the large private company category at the 2017 awards
FORT MILL, S.C. — Movement Mortgage CFO Laura Bowles was named Chief Financial Officer of the Year by the Charlotte Business Journal in the 2017 large private company category. Bowles was one of two finalists in the category.
Bowles was selected for her exceptional leadership during Movement's rapid growth in workforce and loan volume since joining the company in 2014. Under her leadership, Movement has grown to be the nation's 7th largest purchase mortgage lender.

Bowles oversees all financial functions for Movement Mortgage including financial forecasting, capital investment and hiring planning along with general accounting and financial processes.
A seasoned financial professional, Bowles' career catalog includes home loans risk management at Bank of America, a CFO for several Wachovia business units and most recently Director and Head of Consumer and Small Business Lending Products at Citibank. Previous roles also include positions at Liz Claiborne, Chase Capital and Merrill Lynch. Bowles holds a BSE from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives with her husband and two children in Charlotte, N.C.
