Movement's Michael Nasserfar recognized as an HBA Mortgage Industry Professional Of The Year finalist

June 23, 2022

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Movement Mortgage, the nation's sixth-largest retail mortgage lender, is proud to announce that Market Leader Michael Nasserfar has again been named a finalist for HBA's Mortgage Industry Professional of the Year.

The annual Marketing & Advertising Excellence (MAX) Awards, presented by the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin, recognizes the best in local residential development, construction, sales achievement and marketing. The 2022 MAX Awards will be presented to builders, developers, remodelers, lenders and others who made significant and creative contributions to residential marketing in 2021. This year's event will award honorees in 72 categories.

“The last two years were the most challenging in my 20+ years in the industry," said Nasserfar (NMLS #209485). "The highest appreciation numbers Texas has ever seen, rates that doubled between when clients contracted and when they closed, and increasingly volatile home construction prices created an even more challenging new construction lending environment.”

“But together, Empire Communities and Movement Builder Lending team rolled up our sleeves to make sure we tackled these challenges to ensure both clients and builders made it through with systematic changes in pipeline management and plans customized for each homebuyer,” he added. “With exemplary trust-based relationships, builder-centric lending operations and great leadership on both the building and lending side, we are smoothing out the bumps and continuing to help extend homeownership to our well-deserving new home families.”

Nasserfar has served the Austin builder community for over 20 years, having been with Movement since 2018. He is a driving force behind Movement's growing Builder Division, a dedicated team of loan officers and operational support staff focused on professionally serving the homebuilder community. Nasserfar has received the STAR Award (State of Texas Mortgage Professional of the Year) multiple times during his career. Nasserfar also received the HBA Max award and numerous finalist qualifications over his 20+ year career serving our Texas based builders both private and publicly held.

“We're fortunate to have Michael leading our Builder Division in Central Texas at Movement Mortgage.  His unparalleled success across the region is in large part to his commitment to excellence and servant leadership.  Congratulations to Michael and his incredible team who serve their clients, partners and community so well.  We know this year was challenging and they all rose to the challenge.” said Kelly Rogers (NMLS #356776), Regional Director for Movement's Third Coast Region. “Michael and his team are key to our achievements in new construction home lending in Texas. He's well respected and repeatedly referred by past clients and by Empire Communities, one of the area's most respected homebuilders.”

Award winners will be announced and honored at the MAX Awards Gala at the Hyatt Regency Austin on June 25.
