Movement Mortgage welcomes Joe Thompson as Regional Director
Joe Thompson (NMLS# 293472) has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in the region. As the Senior Vice President/Regional Sales Manager at PrimeLending, he oversaw $1 billion in annually funded retail volume across Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Laredo. While at PrimeLending, Thompson built successful teams, developed future leaders, and drove increased production through an energetic and creative approach.

Thompson will be responsible for overseeing operations and driving growth across his region. He will focus on expanding Movement’s market presence and fostering relationships with real estate partners.

Thompson is an alumnus of Rice University, where he earned three degrees and was a 4-year letterman and 3-year starter on the football team. He is actively involved in the mortgage community, serving on the Board of the Austin Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and as former President of the Houston Mortgage Bankers Association in 2018. He graduated from the MBA’s Future Leaders Program in 2019 and has been recognized as a HousingWire Rising Star and Houston Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree. Thompson resides in Austin, TX with his family and enjoys mentoring young professionals, spending time on Canyon Lake, working out and participating in community service activities.
