Movement hires Nashville powerhouse Pete Zaft
Movement Mortgage, a national top 10 retail mortgage lender, is excited to announce the addition of one of the top mortgage originators in the Southeast region, Pete Zaft.
Zaft, who is based in Nashville, is Tennessee's leading individual mortgage originator, originating more than $137 million in residential mortgages in 2018. In his more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Zaft has struck a balance between the speed of advanced technology and the importance of one-on-one relationships. "I'm Realtor and customer focused," says Zaft. "Movement has a terrific array of products that I need but also values Realtor relationships, which is exactly what I want."
Zaft officially started with Movement on Jan. 2, 2019 under Market Leaders Gayle Kindig and Gregg Murphy and Regional Director David Massey. "Pete's focus and drive is what impresses me the most," says Massey. "He commands a lot of respect amongst his peers. We are very fortunate to have him join Movement Mortgage."
Murphy has competed against Zaft for years in middle Tennessee and has always admired him. "He has a reputation for getting loans closed quickly," says Murphy. "To be blunt, he's probably the most guideline-savvy loan officer mind I've ever known."
Kindig added, "His approach to a customer's individual financial situation, expertise in employment, expertise in guidelines, expertise in first-time home buying, gets people the house they want, not one they have to settle for."
Zaft has lived in Nashville since 1993 and joined the mortgage industry in 1998. He has built his whole career around customer service and Realtor relationships, which he is excited to continue with the support of Movement. "Everyone has been so friendly and willing to help," said Zaft. "I'm competitive, I want to win and continue to grow. I want to be even better than 2018 and Movement wants, and is able, to handle that."
