Movement Mortgage has hired Michael Ferreira as Regional Director for its Northern California markets, including Sacramento and San Francisco.

Ferreira joins Movement Mortgage with over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specializing in the West Coast market. Prior to joining Movement Mortgage, Ferreira has overseen growing sales teams for Guild Mortgage, Wells Fargo and Countrywide Home Loans.

"My passion is to grow future leaders and embrace the 'why' of our employees. I enjoyed my time being a top producer, but find more value in educating and mentoring employees to bring them to peak performance," Michael Ferriera said.

This announcement comes during a time of rapid growth in California for Movement Mortgage. California has become the second-highest performing state for the residential mortgage lender. In 2016, Movement closed more than 4,600 loans in California with a volume of almost $1.8 billion. Movement Mortgage is currently the 7th largest purchase mortgage lender in the nation.
