Bates will lead loan production and growth in Kansas City market

Movement Mortgage, a top 10 national retail mortgage lender, has named Angie Bates its newest Market Leader in Kansas City, Missouri and the state of Kansas.

In her new role, Bates, a 13-year mortgage industry veteran, will lead a team of loan officers in customer service, production, recruiting and community engagement. She'll report to Regional Director Larry Kidd.

Bates joined Movement in 2015 as the company's first loan officer in Kansas. Since then, she's climbed the ranks to senior loan officer and last year was named one of Movement's top 100 loan officers.

Along with her work as a top-producing mortgage professional, Bates  is an active member of Legacy Christian Church and advocates for the intersection of corporate industry and community to bring light, hope and love to people across the world.

"While I love doing mortgages, I want my work to connect to a bigger vision that serves people," Bates says. "There is a great need in our country for corporate companies to bridge the needs of the communities we work in and Movement Mortgage is leading that charge. I'm humbled and privileged to lead that effort in Kansas and areas of Kansas City."

Bates plans to scale her market and make it a premier lender in the Kansas City area.

"I look forward to offering other loans officers the opportunity to grow their business with Movement's Realtor-centric 6-7-1 process," Bates says. "We want to be the real estate agent's preferred choice in lending by offering the security of upfront underwriting and faster closing times so their buyers have access to the best products in the industry at the local level."

Bates lives in Olathe, Kansas with her husband and three daughters. Her office is located at 13671 South Mur-Len Road in Olathe.
