Joshua Henry

"I am going to do my best to utilize all of the 5,000 characters because I honestly don't feel like it is enough praise to give to Joshua Henry and his team, so apologies for the wall of text. He came highly recommended from two people I trust with my life, and the entire experience from start to finish was just so refreshing and not at all what I'd heard the home-buying process would be like from friends, family members and colleagues. Even after the initial meeting with Josh, I knew that he was someone who was passionate about what he does for a living, but that the passion was based in actually HELPING people instead of being solely financially motivated. We had countless conversations on the phone, via text, in person meetings and emails and I definitely put him through the ringer with my neurotic questions and needs for reassurance about everything related to the loan. Never once did he make me feel dumb. That in itself is a rarity when you're working with people who are truly experts in their field. He was patient with me and my boneheaded-ness, and always broke things down that I wasn't fully understanding of into sizable, bite-sized chunks, and even busted out the metaphorical crayons a few times when I was really struggling to understand the higher-brow financial aspects of things. I just cannot recommend working with him and his team enough; all of my family members that had the pleasure of meeting him shared the same sentiments as myself in that he is just a good person who obviously cares about the people he works with. There were definitely moments where I know I was being difficult as we approached the closing date and timelines were drawing nearer, and even when I was acting my worst (which I can admit I was), he was patient and kind and reassuring. I think one evening he was working until about 8:00 PM, and keeping me updated as things were changing. I'm going to give his coworker Carissa a huge shout-out as well, because I think I sent her no less than 25 emails in one week with questions, wanting clarification on what documentation was needed and how to best support them. There were probably half as many phone calls too, and never once did anyone at Movement make me feel like I was being a bother or inconveniencing them in any way. The nature of my loan was definitely not run-of-the-mill, and I know I put her through the ringer with changes and things that happened outside of my control; they were handled with grace and compassion and expert professionality. If you're looking to buy a house, or refinance, or do anything of this "adult magnitude" and want the best people in your corner, you want Josh and his team supporting you. I am actively waiting for friends and family to let me know that they're looking at buying just so I can pass along his information, because I want the people I love to be taken care of as well as Josh and his team took care of me. Thank you again, so much from the bottom of my heart. They've helped me achieve a lifelong dream and I don't think many people get to help people that started off as complete strangers in that regard. The work you're doing is important and impactful, and I just... I can't say enough about how lovely of an experience working with them has been. 11/10 experience."
