- Wrens Village - "Wren's Story: On August 6, 2016, 3-year-old Wren was diagnosed with Very High Risk, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Wren bravely battled her cancer with chemo and radiation for 2.5 years. Thankfully, in December 2018 she loudly rang the bell, signaling the end of treatment! But, there are still 43 other children diagnosed every day; 5 of those 43 will not survive. So, we continue to fight. Wren’s mom founded Wren’s Village to do just that. Did you know that funding for pediatric cancer research totals less than 4% on a national level? Did you know that a lot of these tiny patients require blood frequently? Wren had 17 blood/platelet transfusions, which she calls "UNICORN JUICE" because it is magic (and made her feel a lot better)! Wren now loves helping to make and deliver Wren’s Wallets to families, just like hers, at Levine Children’s Hospital who are battling pediatric cancer. Each wallet contains $200-$250 in gift cards to help with gas, medicine, food and some fun!"
